<br />
This week I have been mostly making things, for the Big Meet on Saturday. Obviously can't post them on here as wouldn't be a surprise for some lovely girlies there.<br />
<br />
<br />
Yesterday I received my Ugly Bug Does Subscription Box and Oh My Life...... love it. Pen, Sticker, Charm, Washi and posh Paper Clip.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSHx7Skt3fcPpk9TPqjvwJ6Dn-kaa25LMmH9YxOYH7NrgfYMYgyoAQauDSYUHCEyyqWTcGgcTyxzH1NSJZvZbwzxkVZEJYhCXZF8YGOczsZNmP8TXlZeKrzJk1IveU9Pge_E56rnw04Ik3/s1600/IMG_5076.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSHx7Skt3fcPpk9TPqjvwJ6Dn-kaa25LMmH9YxOYH7NrgfYMYgyoAQauDSYUHCEyyqWTcGgcTyxzH1NSJZvZbwzxkVZEJYhCXZF8YGOczsZNmP8TXlZeKrzJk1IveU9Pge_E56rnw04Ik3/s320/IMG_5076.JPG" width="240" /></a><br />
The pen is fabulous and writes well too. You can't really see it here but it's full of gems in the top half of the pen.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4HHWe9R8jKVvnAxjEMi0aCiAG1fzdfDs-zUzXSkb0w9hXB6kfnqbpkfyvoeCzMqB9Lu-53LP9QP8NDhaBDSzmzzKuzFZ_0OGKh2jsSvV5uEk9Q4D1JvPOpKTbH1DPhKkSS2zjayiMrSDw/s1600/IMG_5074.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4HHWe9R8jKVvnAxjEMi0aCiAG1fzdfDs-zUzXSkb0w9hXB6kfnqbpkfyvoeCzMqB9Lu-53LP9QP8NDhaBDSzmzzKuzFZ_0OGKh2jsSvV5uEk9Q4D1JvPOpKTbH1DPhKkSS2zjayiMrSDw/s320/IMG_5074.JPG" width="240" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Absolutely loving this planner charm.... I mean look at it.... really autumnal leaves and the little wee charms on it give that proper Autumn/Halloween feel.<br />
<br />
<br />
The Washi tape is to die for.... There's a cutey little fox paperclip made by Alyson at Scarlet Moon Crafts and then of course there are the Ugly Bug stickers.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_xLzukQ63pkMALZ6_ruOmynHeT_iQMOIDDCgafNyXmmSY39qzeTAVB69JaiAd_2WI7Jc6f-WzVbxrjemi0-bDktKURvpobADZOJCVfBBCb6Rf6TstbG38vMzFhXHhdfqxgQ4kfN4Nio8N/s1600/IMG_5075.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; display: inline !important; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_xLzukQ63pkMALZ6_ruOmynHeT_iQMOIDDCgafNyXmmSY39qzeTAVB69JaiAd_2WI7Jc6f-WzVbxrjemi0-bDktKURvpobADZOJCVfBBCb6Rf6TstbG38vMzFhXHhdfqxgQ4kfN4Nio8N/s320/IMG_5075.JPG" width="240" /></a>As always the stickers are perfect, fabulous quality and I'm looking forward to decorating my Halloween/Half Term week with them.<br />
<br />
I've been a member of the Ugly Bug Design Team for a while so I guess you could say I am biased but if you'd like to check out the quality for yourself then there will be a new box available in November (limited number)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
So.... if you want to receive a fabulous stationery box then you need to be logging onto <a href="http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/UglyBugDoes">www.etsy.com/uk/shop/UglyBugDoes</a> on I would say the 3rd October when the shop reopens after the Big Meet to have a chance to get one.<br />

Last night I had Liver & onions (sorry guys if you don't like but I've not had it for ages and I really enjoyed it), after which I did a bit of planning and then watched one of my favourite actors, Liam Neeson, in Taken (again). <br />
<br />
This evening has been spent, taking photos and applying for a DT post with a lovely well known (in the planner world) stationery lady (fingers crossed there).<br />
<br />
I've had fun decorating next week in my MAMBI Happy Planner using a free printable digital sticker sheet from <a href="http://www.victoriathatcher.com/">www.victoriathatcher.com</a> and I love them, so much that I've used them for the last couple of weeks...lol. I really do need to get myself a cutting machine that does the work of a pair of scissors and my glasses though.<br />

You will note that the pages are pre-pen, I've not got any appts down as yet only a couple of special birthdays.<br />
<br />
I've stamped ready to meal plan in the bottom section and am REALLY REALLY looking forward to next Saturday as I am attending (and this will sound geeky to people not in the planner world) the First Annual UK Planner Addicts Big Meet in Birmingham. I am catching a lift with my friend Michelle who is picking me up on her way through Nottinghamshire from Stockton on Tees and am really looking forward to seeing her again too.<br />
<br />
I started a little more crochet last so I need to continue with that, I'm doing a White Rabbit to add to my "Mad Hatter Set" (having done the hare and the dormouse) with a plan to do a purple cat to finish the set of animals off. I will not be crocheting the Mad Hatter himself....lol. I'll leave that one to experts.<br />
<br />
Any questions on planning, please feel free to comment below and I will answer what I can and ask the experts what I don't know.<br />

I tried Facebook for a little while but <span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">my personal life then suffered some upheaval so I let that slip too. </span><br />
<div>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">It is now time however to return to blogging and commit time to my crafts. I may need to rename my blog as I do not just do cards any more. I have expanded into decorated MDF plaques, wall art, mixed media pictures and </span><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">have recently, as in the last two months, taken up arigurumi, after purchasing a Toft kit from Create and Craft. I don't have children to give these animals too but I think they are so cute, I just decided to make them anyway. </span></div>
<div>

</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I still make cards but have gotten heavily into planning (that'll be decorated diaries to the uninitiated). I love that my once boring Filofax now looks colourful and it's still easy to see at a glance what appts. etc I have during the week. Here's a week before I add any appts. </div>

I thought I best make a start on Christmas. Made by layering silver Miri card, with embossed white card and some mistletoe papers & tags from Creat n Craft TV. I cut out a Robin shape from some lovely music print paper and inked his chest. I finished off colouring a couple of sticky back pearls to add red accents and grey for his eye (using graph-it pens). Happy with the result. </div>

<div>
<br></div>
<div>
I used the papers from a Dreamees ready card as she loves pink and I loved this particular pattern. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
I used 3d foam pads to lift the image slightly and folded the butterfly wings so they stood up from the card. </div>
<br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I did actually colour the roses fuschia pink but forgot to photo it again before I gave it to her...lol</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I think she turned out ok. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I've used the same image for a couple of other cards all of which look different. One for my cousin Jane and one for my Brother (16th August) which is why I'm quite late posting this. Am happy with all versions. Hope they were too. </div>

She told me the theme for the nursery was jungly/safari animals. So here he goes xx<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCOCrcpn1f59h1huVPBbQhyphenhyphenjMgDFFGxpxeubVQJjnvUhJlJk9Yr3DQNxosrndvvZxyhDjOwHSlbeCAsXIk2YX5ESb3ObtxBoArQIq-mDwvE9OXDX_CkLkWGokWAezqNZFIF6-DlhkwM_H4/s640/blogger-image-1585658810.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCOCrcpn1f59h1huVPBbQhyphenhyphenjMgDFFGxpxeubVQJjnvUhJlJk9Yr3DQNxosrndvvZxyhDjOwHSlbeCAsXIk2YX5ESb3ObtxBoArQIq-mDwvE9OXDX_CkLkWGokWAezqNZFIF6-DlhkwM_H4/s640/blogger-image-1585658810.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I decided to make it approx. 6" square using a box frame. I layered a piece of white card onto a really dark chocolate brown card for the base and then used another die to layer up three other "giraffe" shades in card from my stash.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I printed the giraffe onto card and die-cut him using one of my favourite dies. I printed him out again just so I could 3D his face.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I die cut using a la la land banner die in two of the coordinating cards and stuck them to the inside of the frame to give depth to the image. I stuck some of the hearts that were a bi-product of the die onto the image just for fun.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I've been doing a lot of colouring lately, which I love but it made a nice change to use printed images.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I love it, she loved it, hope you love it too.</div>

Another little card for my friend but this time for her sister.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
From back to front the background is a print from a crafters companion cd, as is the little hidden tag and envelope. There's also a heart doily layered in. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The image is a Saturated Canary called <a href="http://saturated-canary.myshopify.com/products/secrets" target="_blank">Secrets</a> and I love it x it was coloured using Graph It pens for the skin in 4115 & 4145 and Spectrum Noir pens in PP2 & TB1for the clothing and bunting. I coloured it to represent the two sisters. The hair on the red head was Graph It 3125, 3170 & 3190 and the one with pigtails was Spectrum Noir EB1, EB2 & EB7. I fussy cut the image and stuck it using mini foam pads to give the card some dimension. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

This CAS card was been made for a friend to give to her dad before he walks her down the aisle. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I layered black card and some patterned toning blue papers. Then printed two footprints one for her and one for Dad and die cut a simple scallop circle around them. I think it looks really simple but effective. </div>

<br /><br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I've used a mixture of spectrum noir and graph it pens. She does look like she has just come back off her holidays tho..lol x<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I diecut after colouring her in and then added some lace ribbon and a couple of butterflies from my stash to finish her off.<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSxZgdozeVJyIATT9Y4h7U_9yqaSBgqINRJWQT4ZypRV9r7yuNyB7AWYII_Nl3HwVSAJVAZVwYh-2pDZ1eIK7TuqeE1e2t2NjC6pG_LsFShQPyDduf1S-9iMwZgPlJrjQQCL1FNRJRiesf/s640/blogger-image--190023164.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSxZgdozeVJyIATT9Y4h7U_9yqaSBgqINRJWQT4ZypRV9r7yuNyB7AWYII_Nl3HwVSAJVAZVwYh-2pDZ1eIK7TuqeE1e2t2NjC6pG_LsFShQPyDduf1S-9iMwZgPlJrjQQCL1FNRJRiesf/s640/blogger-image--190023164.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /><br />
Smudge as is normal is accompanying her to keep her safe. Hope you like her.<br />

She's available on Etsy just click <a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/121089355/instant-download-digital-digi-stamps-big?ref=shop_home_active_18" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have coloured her in a combination of Graph-it and Spectrum Noir pens. Her hair was coloured using Faber-Castell pencils.<br />
<br />
<br />
I decided to create a twisted easel for a change and layered her up using papers from my stash some lace ribbon and a doily and added a flower for impact to the front and added more flowers and a simple die cut shape with a Happy Birthday sticker sentiment inside. </div>
<br />
<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I do struggle with hair sometimes so quite pleased with the result. I was going to enter her into a My Besties Challenge but unfortunately had a few things come up and missed the deadline for the particular theme...lol<br />
<br />
<br />
Hope you like her I think she's a sweetheart.<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Been missing for a wee while. I'm tied up a bit with work and Roller Derby at the mo and haven't done much crafting apart from attending a Dreamees workshop where I created this little beauty. </div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFk1oSMR1d5Jk9sK-i1De6KZgAJEliCthEOSwCuMx2kpERomahwymPDhhi-eCMWjXn2fk_iWVTkGgXGOg2F2QYJDyIvTJpU25UrKYcqKxMgQRWYWtGfjhyqunIzjdKXMmDwgf_IDPNns5c/s640/blogger-image-2026902753.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFk1oSMR1d5Jk9sK-i1De6KZgAJEliCthEOSwCuMx2kpERomahwymPDhhi-eCMWjXn2fk_iWVTkGgXGOg2F2QYJDyIvTJpU25UrKYcqKxMgQRWYWtGfjhyqunIzjdKXMmDwgf_IDPNns5c/s640/blogger-image-2026902753.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div>
This is a combination of two cd's, the teacup is from <a href="http://www.dreamees.org.uk/templates-and-more-cd-rom-1200-p.asp" target="_blank">Templates and More</a> and the backing papers are from their new projects cd <a href="http://www.dreamees.org.uk/pretty-projects-templates-and-more-cd-rom-1876-p.asp" target="_blank">Pretty Projects Templates & More</a> although there are loads of backing papers on the first cd so you could choose from that one. This was the first project I'd done properly from the cd and really enjoyed making it. I've just been asked to make two by a friend, one for her Mum and her sister (I think) from the little one.... So been busy cutting out flowers for the last couple days...lol</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you've not bought from Dreamees before I suggest you go check them out online at <a href="http://www.dreamees.org.uk/">www.Dreamees.org.uk</a>, their customer service and delivery time is awesome and Hayley's designs are simple but fabulous.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Apart from projects like this she has rubber stamps, embellishments n all that jazz (and no I'm not on commission I just love their stuff)!!</div>

Love n light</div>

<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimAoDmwsFIzTxooSaj_AQ8k0MIm-2rmGvq-3BujXekqWC3L7PiX6ByThT8Ero8YgbR4cCY_2FAg1XmqrArzKYFCiMCfJxM1qhXky254TILDLrWjBXVYeVQicwchAYcNKHJ3Aqzu_BuXAvM/s1600/blogger-image-199158813.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimAoDmwsFIzTxooSaj_AQ8k0MIm-2rmGvq-3BujXekqWC3L7PiX6ByThT8Ero8YgbR4cCY_2FAg1XmqrArzKYFCiMCfJxM1qhXky254TILDLrWjBXVYeVQicwchAYcNKHJ3Aqzu_BuXAvM/s400/blogger-image-199158813.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
I've layered her using some pale lilac card and two <a href="http://www.dreamees.org.uk/" target="_blank">Dreamees</a> purple patterned papers printed from one of my CD's (sorry can't remember which one).<br />
<br />
I've coloured her in a mixture of <a href="http://www.createandcraft.tv/SearchGridView.aspx?fh_location=//createandcraft/en_GB/$s=spectrum%20noir&gs=spectrum%20noir" target="_blank">Spectrum Noir</a> and <a href="http://www.createandcraft.tv/SearchGridView.aspx?fh_location=//createandcraft/en_GB/$s=graph%27it&gs=graph%27it" target="_blank">Graph'It</a> pens DG1 & DG2 for her flesh. LV1, LV2 & LV3 for her boots, skirt and top. I think and to be fair I can't remember I used 9100, 9102 & 9103 but I might've used 7109 & 7119 (oopsy).<br />
<br />
Whatever I used "I love her" and I hope you all do too. She's actually being donated to my Roller Derby Team for their fund raising stall along with a number of other cards I've done so hope she helps raise the total.<br />

Thought I'd have a change. :-)<br />
<br />
The image is "Collecting Hearts" by Regan Kubecek an Australian artist and can be purchased through <a href="http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/category_202/Regan-Kubeceks-Digi-Stamps.htm" target="_blank">Sweet Pea Stamps</a>. I think she's fabulous (Regan too...lol). Actually Regan does have some gorgeous digi stamps available on Sweet Pea go take a look.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I did this one really simply matting and layering a pale green linen card and silver card behind the image. I used Spellbinder Labels 29 to cut the image and silver card.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I coloured her using a mixture of Graph It and Spectrum Noir pens. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Skin "Graph It" 4115 & 4145</div>
<div>
Dress and Wings 9100, <a href="tel:9102%209103" x-apple-data-detectors-result="0" x-apple-data-detectors-type="telephone" x-apple-data-detectors="true">9102 9103</a></div>

<br />
I've had the papers for a long time in my stash, they came from one of the magazine downloads (I must remember in future to write on the back of the paper, in pencil, where it's come from). So whichever magazine you were Thank You because I am really really happy with this card.<br />
<br />
Their Anniversary is tomorrow but I don't have to worry about them seeing it because blogging and social media is really not my Mum's thing and Dad is far too busy plumbing and stuff to think about it.....lol x<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
My cards are becoming more layered these days thanks to the wonderful <a href="http://www.dreamees.org.uk/" target="_blank">Dreamees</a> ladies (Carol & Hayley) and <a href="http://berryliciousblog.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Berry </a>who have offered me loads of support and advice, all I've ever had to do is ask. </div>

Couple more family cards. Spritz from Krista at Sarurated Canary and Dreamees Recipe of Christmas stamp. Both layered simply. I actually added a button and butchers twine to the recipe one as it needed a bit of something 😊<div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn-3xSpj-So2PXsdMHQAUdEcJqdonVDARK-Qu4nMkoHee7N74lG37h4eO90d8XyceyYg9yI_H1Vb5pz0V9Q3DM-HG_vVGWlkhhx-cjwU2oT9AKAzg4WuJNcPR9KiqoY-MEk9l7OZK1FFF0/s640/blogger-image--1532232566.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn-3xSpj-So2PXsdMHQAUdEcJqdonVDARK-Qu4nMkoHee7N74lG37h4eO90d8XyceyYg9yI_H1Vb5pz0V9Q3DM-HG_vVGWlkhhx-cjwU2oT9AKAzg4WuJNcPR9KiqoY-MEk9l7OZK1FFF0/s640/blogger-image--1532232566.jpg"></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Hope you like. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Love n light and have a fabulous Christmas everyone. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Clare x</div>Camellia Cardshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01181493895050309084noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6402290621035745175.post-5642091043699245552013-12-15T07:52:00.001+00:002013-12-15T07:52:56.002+00:00Winter FairyLove this Mo Manning image, have made a few cards with it but all in different colour ways. I made it using Dreamees papers from the Christmas Extravaganza cd in pink.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I used simple matt n layering techniques using three different papers although I realise it looks like four. I used the same papers to make the flowers. The sentiment was created using 'curlz' font in word on my computer as was the name circle. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A little glamour dust was added for sparkle. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
I used one of the papers again to decorate the inside of the card. Really happy with this one.<br />

I love the massive glasses.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I went for a monotone style with this one so I coloured her in EB1&7 and then popped the stocking and candy canes with CR8.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I layered her onto a piece of brown card which I'd embossed with a <a href="http://www.dreamees.org.uk/berry-wreath-1277-p.asp" target="_blank">Dreamees</a> snowflake. This was in turn layered onto a strip of music score (from a Dreamees cd) and gold lacey stuff and finally layered onto a natural wood chip style paper xx</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The little sentiment says "Oh. This isn't the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party?" and comes with the digi stamp. I made a double bow with red butchers string to add to the top of the tag.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I'm entering her into<a href="http://divasbydesignchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank"> Divas by Design CAS challenge</a> this month.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Hope you like her. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Love n Light</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
